Pearl River Blues Berry Farm, in Pearl River, Mississippi — the same organic farm that we gave our cast iron tub to years ago when we started renovating the back of the house. (The tub is in the back.) Beautiful farm, wide space for running and jumping, friendly people and animals, and lots and lots of blueberry plants. No chemicals in the growth process — which means that you can eat them fresh off the vine.
Which means, a lot (a LOT) of blue-tinted kid poops in your future.

Oh do we know the blueberry poops around here. Love blueberries (especially the no-spray ones), as do all three kids. We can go to the farmer’s market and each get our own pint, sit on the curb and eat them in the blink of an eye.

I admit that I’ve purposefully limited blueberries in the house due to post traumatic stress from a set of particularly bad blueberry diapers.

What fun! Looks like a great day to me.
My kids aren’t much for blueberries, but when we were up in cottage country last week we found some growing wild. The excitement of finding wild berries was enough to convince my daughter to at least try them again, so that’s a step in the right direction.

So awesome! We tried to go blueberry picking at an organic farm here, but I forgot the map and we never found it. There’s always next weekend! Yep, washing blueberry poop out of diapers is especially traumatic. 🙂

Ha! I guess I should be thankful that blueberries are the one berry my daughter won’t eat.
