Paul’s doing the second coat (final) cut-in… but we don’t have enough paint to roll! Hopefully we’ll be able to start loading it up Thursday or so. We have no idea when we’ll get around to painting this room, though, so this will be the lone great white shelf for awhile.

Looking good. You guys have a flair for home improvement.
I was thinking of New Orleans recently … carefully organizing the Mardi Gras beads you sent by color, as I packed up to move. How are things citywide?

We do have a flair for home improvement, I’ll drink to that. We’re also insufferable perfectionists. And probably a little bit crazy.
Answering “how is NOLA?” is never easy. The city is continuing to recover and our “sliver by the river” is fabulous. We’re two cities now: one that was flooded by poorly constructed levees, and one that sat high and dry. More than ever, the only way to understand New Orleans is to visit New Orleans. Believe me, it’s much more than what you see on Cops.
You need to get out here to catch summa those beads yo’sef!
