Kate is 9 weeks old. Two minutes after I took this picture, Kate had scooted herself up to the blocks and knocked them all over with her hands and head. The covers for three of the four chair/swing/bouncey devices we have in the house are currently in the wash. That is because Kate has (ahem) overflowed on them all in the past 24-hours.
Kate has had two baths in the past 12 hours. Reason? See above.
Kate is loosing her hair. We are not sure what color it will be when it grows back. Current nicknames for Kate include: Baby Kate, Baby Cakes, Squirmy, Super-Pooper, and Chunk. Oh — and I almost forgot — ROCK STAR!

OK, just when I think I’ve found the “I have to have it” picture, the next one is even cuter! I love the nicknames, too – is Chunk for her size or for the size of her diaper?!?!

Chunk came accidentally from a friend of mine. She came to visit and when she picked up Kate, said, “My, you are a chunk!” And we had to say that she was right on… that baby is a chunk!
It is interesting that I feel a bit badly calling her “my chunk” … not that I believe I’m creating body issues for my daughter at the tender age of 9 weeks, but because I worry that we’ll continue using it! I figure that, like with Will, we’ll find some other things to call her as she gets older. Maybe even her name! 🙂
