Our Weekend
Will, Paul, and I went to Mobile for Father’s Day weekend.
Really, my folks came to New Orleans on Friday — my Dad had a meeting in nearby Houma, dropped my Mom off at our house in the morning, and then joined us in the evening. After dinner, Will and I rode back to Mobile with them. Paul joined us in Mobile after juggling club on Saturday afternoon.
It was a beautiful weekend. Mom and I did some wedding shopping, I found the expansion packs I needed at Michael’s to finish the “Will’s First Year” scrapbook I gave her for Christmas (with Emily’s expert help!) and we all got lots of pool time with (and without) Will.
Here, Will is playing in the pool with PapPap on Saturday afternoon. In this picture, he is trying his best to splash PapPap from his sea-faring chariot.
Reverend Holly
That’s right.
As of 7:30pm tonight, I am an ordained minister with the Universal Life Church, with all rights and privileges to perform all duties of the Ministry.
A few more things to check with the Jacksonville County Clerk, but I should be ready to go to marry Boy and Emily!
Remembering Barney.
We’re now a one car family. We decided to sell Barney after along hard look at our finances (the change of Paul’s paydays from twice a month to every two weeks is hurting.) So, this morning, we posted Barney on Craig’s List. He was sold by 4:30, cash deal. We are feeling a bit nostalgic (we drove Barney up to Mountain Lake for our first date!) but happy that the expense and headache (Barney needs a new A/C system and exhaust) is gone.
Will’s Vocabulary
A few people have asked me how many words Will has in his vocabulary. I think this is a milestone thing? So before we go to his 18-month wellness exam (which will probably be a 19-month wellness exam by the time our new health insurance gets figured out) I wanted to make a list.
Will’s vocabulary:
Uh-oh, agua, gato, wow!, ouch, duckie, puppee, uno, three, mommee, daddee, pap-pap, Elmo, Ernie, Bi-bird, Grover, tree, (b)inky, baby, oh-kay, ah-cha, ball, g’morning!, hi!, cookie, pudding, airplane, car, bird, cow, globo, sim pool, Murray, doggie, purple, rojo, pato, fishy, up, down, off, on, peas, (ba)nana, apple, outside, wet, icky, si, and (unfortunately) no.
